Is this coffee, or really odd looking cupa soup they're talking about?

CalamityKangaroo In reply to David31 [2010-07-13 22:03:28 +0000 UTC]
Depends on your definition of coffee. Or soup, for that matter.

It could very well be mud in the end.

"Mud in the end"? Is that some sort of euphemism?

It sounds like it is. I'm not sure 100% though. But I'll bet this poor guy at the bar was served mud in a coffee mug.

You think that's tough coffee?
Just wait until you try Irish coffee, we've got a little extra ingredient!

Let me guess... it wouldn't have anything to do with whiskey, would it?

I normally charge 50 a week, but for you my friend I'll take 70.

That's how they like it down under... strong enough to stand up on it's own!

Like Desperate Dan's tea... (a character from the Dandy comic)
His "mighty brew" could stand up a teaspoon in the cup.
Then when he gave a soothing cup to a woman who was annoyed about a bad hairstyle a local barber gave her, the tea proved so strong it curled her hair for her - cheering her up no end!
In turn, the barber came to see how Dan did it, and the tea stood his curly hair on end!

The joke is that the Australians are so tough they drink their coffee 'chunky', wheras we here in the states have our fancy-pants coffee; (They're really just messin' with the tourist, though.)

Gabe-S-Art In reply to CalamityKangaroo [2009-02-24 21:51:43 +0000 UTC]
Oh, I see. That's always how I saw Australians, basically British people with balls.

That's an oxymoron if ever I heard one...
'British people with...' yeah, right!

Nothing against the British, but the only British person I know of who has lower male private parts both physically and figuratively is Mike Myers. But this is an instant fave anyways!
Enough said!

Cream or black, I just don't care;
As long as I get my caffine buzz.
If it wakes me up,
I don't care what else it does...
