Ringo Dingo looks a bit like Rocko from Rockos Modern LifeΒ

CalamityKangaroo In reply to BKToons [2016-11-07 14:33:00 +0000 UTC]

Hmm... in this picture he kinda does...

It's weird, because Rocko's supposed to be a wallaby, while Ringo, as his name suggests, is a Dingo. You'd think my character Willy Wallaby would look more like Rocko, what with him being a wallaby and all, but that's just not the case...

It would be awesome if these 3 were a team on King Of Fighters.

That would be an unfair fight, though; Being cartoon characters, they can take much more abuse than their more realistic counterparts could. Not that it wouldn't still be entertaining, mind you...

CanzetYote In reply to CalamityKangaroo [2015-06-24 20:10:09 +0000 UTC]

Basically, they would be the most overpowered team in KOF.

True.
Again, not that that wouldn't be entertaining...

The trio looks fine together y my standards. Those three look like they're bound for adventure, if they like ir or not. Great job.

Thank you. Truth be told, Calamity's head is a little small in this one; I was going for a different perspective and it didn't quite turn out like I wanted. I thought it still looked okay all the same, though.

To me it looks OK with something like this, seeing as though they're are two other charcters to look at as well besides him. Oh and you're very welcome.

Well, Ty's already done that exceedingly well, so I think I'll just leave that to the folks at Krome.

I like how Ringo Dingo has this tough, manly look yet he sports a pot belly.

CalamityKangaroo In reply to Gabe-S-Art [2008-12-11 14:28:58 +0000 UTC]

Yep. Honestly, this is one of my favorite pictures of him... and interestingly, he's not the most 'manly' of the bunch...(none of them are 'manly' if you think about it, being animals and all...) Anyhow, he's really kind of lazy and just runs the local watering hole. And yes, I modeled his hat after Crocodile Dundee...

Gabe-S-Art In reply to CalamityKangaroo [2008-12-11 21:21:22 +0000 UTC]

Ah, that would explain it. FYI, when I said manly, I meant he was a tough guy. In all my life, I've never met an Australian man who wasn't tough.

CalamityKangaroo In reply to Gabe-S-Art [2008-12-12 13:36:45 +0000 UTC]

I knew what you meant... I was splitting hairs for comedic effect. And, indeed most are tough, but just like everywhere else in the world, you've got people of all flavors... I need to introduce you to Kooky Koala - he's afraid of everything...

I'm slightly OCD when it comes to cartoons: if I like it, I'll want MORE!

CalamityKangaroo In reply to Gabe-S-Art [2008-12-17 13:53:16 +0000 UTC]

Well, I'm quite flattered... Did you read any of the strips there?

Oh, and for the OCD thing, I think they have medication for that; riddlin or elephant tranquilizers, or something like that...

Gabe-S-Art In reply to CalamityKangaroo [2008-12-18 00:11:28 +0000 UTC]

I just watch a lot of TV to numb it.

I did read a couple of the strips and I'd like to take a crack at a little fanart sometime. I can draw Calamity okay.

Feel free to give it a go... Just remember it's copyrighted to me...
And who knows, if you're any good, I may get you to do some in-betweening for me...

Gabe-S-Art In reply to CalamityKangaroo [2008-12-19 21:22:54 +0000 UTC]

I'd like that. I'm not that much of an animator, though, and I'm still not too good with drawing on-model, but I'd be glad if it were offered.

CalamityKangaroo In reply to Gabe-S-Art [2008-12-20 04:14:24 +0000 UTC]

Well, Let's see what you can do, and we'll go from there.
And as far as staying on model goes, I'd give you some model sheets before I asked you to animate anything...

Do they come from a land down under?
Where beers flow & men plunder?
Can't you hear, can't you hear the thunder?
You better run!
You better take cover.
