Sweet design, for some reason it reminds me of the alien head with the mini head coming out of its tongue

I hate to be critical (and I hope you're not offended by my saying this), but the operator looks awfully exposed up top like that--the engineer in me insists that at the very least, he should have a canopy of some kind, like the type found on logging equipment or heavy bulldozers. The mech also looks a bit top-heavy; I keep thinking that the operator's seat should be above the lower manipulator unit, on the front of the main body, rather than sitting above it, although the way you drew it would give the operator a much better field of view.
I get the impression from the overall design that this mech is designed for industrial use rather than military; like the plating is meant to protect the mech's workings from falling debris, vegetation (tree limbs, hanging vines, etc.), and the like rather than from weapons fire.
The actual lines look very believable, as though you sat down and drew something that actually existed rather than just a figment of the imagination. The limbs especially look very plausible; well-articulated for walking over a wide variety of terrain types. I assume the the panel above the small (fine work?) manipulator (on the front below the operator's pod) is an attachment point for different manipulator packages for heavy lifting/power work to complement the fine work manipulators on the bottom?

Thanks a lot and no worries bout being critical, is very much welcome. I did a fair bit of thumbnailing for the mechs and some were more the "serious" side some more on the "funny" side. This is one I took randomly and tried to get something out of it. I tried to suggest the "side" in the attitude of the operator. The seat is supposed to be in the lifted position, and could be pulled back with the operator inside the container bellow, which would be the cabin. What is now basically a command panel would become a hatch/cover for the cabin. The panels above the legs would be also containers for different tools. They could either open as they are or possibly rotate on the bottom hinge a bit like some petals and become work/operation platforms. The central front part could be used as attachment part for a heavy duty arm or something. This were options I was considering along, but restricted myself to studying mechanical parts and rendering.
Why open the hatch and put the operator outside at such distance from the small arms unit? Well, I don't know exactly. Probably to get mechanical parts working while putting the opperator in direct sight of the work subject but at a safe distance... Anyways this is meant to sparkle imagination

Thanks! I suppose it has, probably a simpler, more technical one

I like A.I.s with simple character quirks. Not that they have a character to begin with but...

I need something like this that follows my troops carrying their equipment.. Excellent image and modeling!
