A couple of people have requested for me to do a tutorial on how I do hair, so here it is ^^ Roy is our lovely male model today
I just decided to use him since this is the pic I'm working on right now. This really goes a lot quicker than it looks like it does! I thought if I only did the hair the rest wouldn't be so distracting, but his glazed over blue eyes are a little creepy 
Well, I've never done a tutorial before, so I hope this makes sense! Give is a try, if you like

Ah...you used a tablet, right?
I unfortunately don't have one and will have to attempt this with a mouse. I'm going to try it on my entry for your illustration contest (which I just finished outlining and am ready to colour).
...or I could just steal my sister's tablet. Mwa ha ha.

I actually think I still was using a mouse when I did that tutorial... I know I developed the technique with a mouse, so it'll work for ya! Or "borrow" your sister's tablet

This is one tutorial I look forward to employing in my art, considering how much I love painting hair - and how greatly in need of lucid instruction and practise I am. I've seen variations of the painting hair theme, but I love the clarity of this tutorial.

Interesting tips. It's given me a few ideas. You ever play with the layer mode, cause that open up all kind of opportunites. Also the clipping mask option

I have heard so may people use the word "layers", what are layers and is it on Photoshop, if it is, then please tell where to find it...this can be very useful for my drawings^^

Layers are VERY useful! What photoshop do you use? I'm pretty sure that all of them have layers, but, maybe I can be more specific if I know what version. The layers window should be in the bottom right hand corner of the the screen. If it isn't there, go to "window" at the top and click on "show layers". You should start with one layer (the layer your drawing is on, or the background color) but then you can use the layer window to create new layers. Then you can put different things on different layers. I hope some of this made sense
