Worked over one of the official illustrations of Double Dragon Neon. I was caught off guard just how easily Skeletor's head actually fit over the illustration. It lines up a little too well in fact, which does not alleviate my suspicious on the identity of this fellow!Related content

Wow. I don't think there could be a bigger ThatsTheJoke.jpg than Skullmageddon, but there you go, someone has to literally point it out anyways

While anyone raised in the 80s probably came to the conclusion of who Skullmageddon was parodying by the end of his first sentence, it's still comical exactly how many shout-outs to Skeletor and the Masters of the Universe franchise actually could be found in the game. You've got his general look and sound, the second last boss fight where is has a partner with a very specifically chosen name, the Killacopter which was based off a vehicle that made numerous appearances in the cartoons, etc. The fact that Skeletor's traditional portrait could be so easily superimposed over Skullmageddon in the cover art just caught me off guard as I honestly had not even considered trying it till I was looking for a visual gag to insert into the Let's Play video set I was recording at the time.

Someone need to show this to Genzoman (the artist of this picture and pretty much other artworks of this game).
