Description
Anyone who knows me knows that I am very fond of the Mega Man series. My fondness also extends to the X series from which Zero hails from. Suffice to say, I liked the fact that he found his way into MvC3 as I do not own a Wii and thus have no proper way to play his TvC incarnation.Related content

If you are referring to the original design for X, then you are correct; the change from main character to supporting role mostly went down because execs feared the drastic change of appearance for Zero would make it unrecognizable as a part of the overall Rockman series, so they had to use something closer to Rock's old look. This was corrected by the MMZero series, which gave Zero his starring role at last.

Really? Because I mostly thought that Zero was given his own series because he was so popular. But what you said could also be the case as well.

Zero's popularity eventually did become the reasoning behind the later spinoff series; although I'd be hard pressed to find a source where they would actually confirm it out loud, it isn't too hard to recognize Zero's favored status by Inafune considering that many of the X series' major developments were all related to Zero rather than X, especially in the first six games.
