Description
My first ever real digital painting. I still tried to maintain a watercolor integrity. It's hard to tell when you're done with a digital work. I could fiddle with it forever! Please let me know what you think.
I am not this hair,
I am not this skin,
I am the soul that lives within.

It's so good to know that you can recreate the watercolor effect digitally. It's a good thing for me also, since I've switched from traditional into digital, and I've never tried watercolor before but I would like to without making my hands dirty

I'd say you succeeded with the watercolor look. At first glance I actually thought this was a watercolor painting. The colors are beautiful and the twisted trees in front look awesome.

Thank you so much for your lovely, encouraging comments! Glad you think I stayed true to the watercolor look. It's actually hard for me to not have watercolor-looking influence when I work digitally I've come to find out.

I'm extremely impressed with how well you kept the feeling of a traditional painting for this - if you hadn't mentioned that it was digital I wouldn't have realised.
The motive is really nice, I like your lineart, especially all the branches of the trees in front

Thank you so much! I wanted to preserve the traditional feeling and I tried a few new techniques, but it's hard for myself to judge if I'm successful. Your feedback means a lot.

I think you succeeded in maintaining the watercolor look, I would never have guessed. Your strong penwork... did you scan in your drawing? or is that digital also? I love your subject.

Thank you very much! That's exactly what I wanted, glad you like it.
I actually drew this out first in micron pen and then scanned it.

Wow!! I thought this was a traditional piece! It looks like ink and water color, so I was surprised to read it was not! Very well done.
I especially like the twisted trees and the overall texture to the whole piece.Β
