In the realm of Anthaesia, amid the echoes of the great Thaesian war that shook the lands and dwindled the realm's strength, a resolute figure emerged: Eustace Karesha, a stalwart WarMaiden with a story woven in courage and heartache. Born amidst the clash of nations, Eustace was more than a warrior; she was a lover and a dreamer. The tempestuous war, a crucible that left Anthaesia's ranks scant, led to the transformation of the valiant WarMaidens into a unique rescue corps, champions of Queen Karia's decree to safeguard the men of her people from Euraesian clutches and the fierce battlegrounds.

Yet, unlike her fellow WarMaidens, Eustace carried a distinct bond, for she had captured the heart of a noble enforcer, a patriotic soul who cherished his homeland and held Eustace as the embodiment of his devotion. Their souls entwined since childhood, their love story was etched in shared laughter and escapades, ambitions unfulfilled but dreams painted together. Even adversity failed to sunder their love; illness, politics, and debts were powerless against their unity. United in matrimony at the tender age of 23, they yearned for romantic rambles along the shore, relishing culinary delights on amorous trysts, and finding daily solace in each other's arms. Eustace's heart brimmed with visions of motherhood by 24, nurturing a progeny bound for erudition, a graduate of engineering arts. But life's capricious course was unkind, wrenching her beloved from her embrace, his loyalty and duty leading him to the battlefront.

With four hundred thousand comrades clad in valor, Eustace's husband joined the ranks to aid the Nordr kingdoms against the overwhelming Euraesian surge. Across the mountainous plains, an unceasing torrent of rifle-armed infantry menaced, wielding novel weaponry that surpassed the realm's knowledge. In an era venerating halberds and mithril armour, muskets were deemed cowardly tools of distant conflict. Yet, even as Anthaesia stemmed the Euraesian tide, the cost in lives and pride was profound. Amidst the strewn wreckage of valorous souls, Eustace's love remained lost, concealed within the sea of fallen brethren. An abyss of silence enveloped her, leaving no word of friend or authority.

Endurance reshaped Anthaesia's outlook, birthing regiments of newly-trained markswomen to counter Euraesia's menace. Amid this shift, Eustace, once envisaging leadership beside her husband, stood alone, poised to embody her potential in the queen's service. Yet fate is a tapestry threaded by sorrow, for Eustace's sworn promise to command her husband's battalion dissolved into the annals of unrealized hopes. A regal demise heralded a new reign, as Queen Karia ascended, inheriting the mantle of governance, a burden forged in loss and determination.

Kindred spirits since youth, Eustace and Karia shared a bond defined by their departed loved ones. Karia's father, a fount of wisdom, taught her the supremacy of personal connections, while Eustace bore the absence of her cherished partner, their shared existence severed by the winds of destiny. War-hardened, Eustace embraced the mantle of the WarMaidens, each stride echoing with a resolute heart, for her tale mirrored the realm's transformationโ€”a journey of love and sacrifice, dreams interwoven with battles fought, and a queen rising from the ashes of her predecessor's reign.

Eustace Karesha, she is a WarMaiden who was alive during the great Thaesian war, the war that left Anthaesia with only a few thousand men a time when the WarMaidens where converted into special rescue forces that upheld the will of Queen Karia to save all Anthaesian men from Euraesian capture and the frontlines.

Unlike most WarMaidens Eustace had a husband, she had secured for herself a young man who had served as an enforcer in Anthaesia, a proud noble who loved his country and held Eustace dearest in his heart ever since they first met as children of two best friends, she was her husband's sweetheart, they would run away from responsibility together, regret missing out on opportunities to become as successful as their fathers together, even in times of hardship they were together no illness, political situation or financial issues would separate them. They were wed at 23 and lived relatively peaceful lives Eustace dreamed of a lovely romance, strolling through the sea-side cities, trying all sorts of food and treats on dates, daily pleasure in bed, she expected to be a mother by 24 raising an educated child that would graduate engineering school, she did not expect her partner to be taken away by the seductress called patriotism, he along with four hundred thousand strong well armed, well trained and passionate men were sent to the frontlines to assist the allied kingdoms of Nordr in defense against the seemingly endless sea of line infantry armed with rifled-muskets by the hundreds of thousands, coming from the mountains, carrying with them explosives and massive weapons never seen before by even the most advanced of technicians in Anthaesia, in a time when halberds and mithril armor was revered as the invincible arms of men, and because their enemies wielded them, muskets and rifles where considered a coward's popping stick. Though Anthaesia held back the invasion forces of Euraesia the toll on Anthaesia's pride and men was a price too high. Among the fields of charred and mangled bodies was her beloved somewhere out there because he never returned and she recieved no reports from either friend or higher authority because they were all part of the pile of fallen, by the time the Euraesians were pushed back out of their borders the first regiments completely made up of hastily trained riflemen most of them being women from the reserves. Anthaesia has learned to repent for their pride and finally adapt.

Eustace joined the WarMaidens while her husband was fighting in the frontlines, she was given an offer directly from the queen at the time, she will become the commander of the battalion which her husband serves in if she were to use her wits for the war. Sadly her promise was never to be, because along with sixty thousand men was the king, the queen couldn't bare the burden of her loss, which led to the youngest queen ever, queen Karia, to inherit the nation. Eustace and Karia were childhood friends and both Eustace and Karia lost the men in their childhood; Karia, her father who taught her the value of personal connections over professional success, and Eustace, her lover and friend who lived alongside her her entire life until he was whisked away.
