Have you ever heard of the popular comic book series, "the Sandman"? As a fan of Neil Gaiman, this portrait reminds me of a very minor character in the book "The Doll's House". Actually, there are two of them who look like this. Zelda and Chantal. They collect spiders. Zelda never speaks. I think you nailed that one.

This whole series is beautiful, but this is definitely my favorite. The lighting is wonderful, and I love the smoothness of the skin, and the way the makeup is done. The dustiness only adds to it.
