Description

This is a sci-fi battlemap of a UFO with three crew members and a few... interlopers, which the navigator is not happy about, including my beloved and now deceased cat. Who has been abducted by aliens but is now, in at least one crew member's opinion, serving just fine as a medical officer. The navigator does not necessarily agree... as to who brought the animals on board, that is a question the other two are not answering!

Basically, I just wanted to make a science fiction map which told a little bit of a story.

Made mostly in Affinity Photo, with a little bit of painting in Clip Studio Paint (got some good brushes there) and a little bit of work in Other World Mapper (to make the underlying base).

Easily the strangest part of this experience was drawing that engine energy thingy. I did not plan that. In fact, when I drew it, I didn't even realize that I basically drew a "Delta C" engine because I don't have that alphabet memorized. It just sort of forced itself out of me, and when I tried to draw something different and fancier, I "received" a correction and this is what came out...
