You know they said that M. C. Escher was sucked at math when he was in school. Yet when you look at some of his works you will see that he is using fractal geometry. And these impossible shapes he makes, geometric fallacies. They can be measured in 3 dimensional space but yet cannot be built.

Love this. Saw it on the impossible world.
This is the ONLY kind of stuff I can draw. Lol
Yeah it's true. I got good grades in art class because I turned everyone's minds upside down in the class with these.

What software did you use to make this?
Beautiful piece-- I like your method of making the water look clear & mobile.

yay waterfall! how did u do this? was it 100% photoshop? looks like two transparency layers, one moving right and the other left to get the flowing water texture. and then just frame by frame for the fall?
anyways. love the border. pretty sick. the gargoyles are a nice touch. wish they were dithered though.

It's one tile repeated for the water, with a transparent effect, then with the water fall and the corners I had to do each frame by hand to get it to turn etc. No tricks involved unless you count a transparent layer as a trick
Thanks for comments

i count it as a trick only because you submitted it to the pixel art category. By definition, pixel art uses no transparency effects. But you did a fine job anyways.
