This is a very beautiful painting. That rabbit looks adorable - I hope it is safe and sound!

Beautiful colours, I love how you used the blues for shadow and the oranges for highlighting, very striking work

This is lovely, the dark lighting, creates an images of him running from a forest fire or something, love the colours and tones on his coat, great picture.Β

Lovely execution, love the many textures you've rendered here, and the expressive face of the rabbit.

Although you cannot see what the rabbit is running away from it's quite a terrifying picture. Maybe it's exactly because one cannot see, leaving it open to one's imagination.

Yes, indeed - the imagined fear is always worse than the reality!

Must try that some time. What kind of paper do you use? It must be pretty thick, I think?

Nothing special, really, not too heavy - 140lb Strathmore cold press - I do tape the edges down to a stiff illustration board before starting.

Now I'm just curious as to what is behind the rabbit making him putting the pedal to the metal. Great job! I love the different textures and your awesome color palette.

More of an 'inspired by' - not a specific reference to the book, but that is where my interest in drawing rabbits always springs from ;3
