Taken a few weeks ago. It's pretty much only the head of the fish that is (hardly) in focus here. It may be cliche, but i don't care. Everything is a freaking cliche if you think about it....*

I love this. The proud expression on your cousin's face, the somehow surprised looking fish, the summer feeling that is everywhere. Really like how you've focused this as well, it draws attention to the catch and yet it is still possible to make out your cousin so there's connections, lines, a story. Made me happy on this cloudy day.

I think this is a fantastic shot. I love how the fish is in the focus, as it should be, with the child being wonderfully set back in the shot. Wonderful dof!

Oh that is so right! so freakin right! Everything is a clichΓ©, and I tend to get angry at people who is complaining about it! Everything is already taken a picture of, or the idea is already used, it is just about making your version, your interpretation of it!
and btw; the picture: I don't think it is an clichΓ©. Yes; you have done a simillar one with a frog, but how many people out there actually manage to capture a good photograph of a fish/the catch!? They are all so boring, but you did something more out of it, and I love it! You managed to make the fish look beautiful.
