Maxfield Parrish is best known for his "romantic fantasy" work. Pictures of nymph-like women and young men at pools of water, etc. the colors very much like yours in this picture. He was very popular in the sixties-seventies and on...among the hippie and new age types.

what is not as well known about him is that he started out as a landscape painter, and was one of the first artists to capture the landscapes of Arizona and the Southwest. I discovered this when I moved down there and did a few tours of the Phoenix Art Museum where some of his work hangs.

Goggle him and enjoy. You'll see the similarities between his work and the colors in this photograph, and I hope you take this as a compliment.

Only my D50, tripod, and a remote control.
The less you touch your camera when shooting landscapes, the better.

Sometimes I use a neutral density filter, but not often, since I'm already shooting in the dark for the most part.

now that's a masterpiece amazing composition - all those leaves making a frame - and those colors are just wonderful. Lots of people would say it's a kitsch because of those colors but I love it. I hope one day I'll see something like this, ane perhaps I'll take such a picture, too
