honestly i didnt have a clear favorite cat but then along came puddleshine and he was alright as an apprentice with his poor mind addled brain and leaf trying to teach him herbs but then when he talks with violet and basic other interactions with puddle it's just ... awesome i love him and i will protect him and please starclan dont drown this oneyou all should be thankful that this whole description isnt all "i love him sm i love him i lov" ;w;
also he's more genetically correct even though i dont mind his canon design
can anybody guess the herb he has?
its mentioned in thunder and shadow and makes me laugh everytime

I felt kinda bad for him though, suddenly being shoved into medicine cat rank. I forgot the herb though.

Hah... yeah. Especially for his age. He only got like 3 moons of training but he seems to be doing alright. Personally he might be my favourite medicine cat of all time, somehow. What about you? What's your opinion on him?
Ah, I can't quite recall off the top of my head but I believe it's chervil? The one that Alderpaw kind of messed up and Jayfeather snarked at him for it, then when Jayfeather was interrogating him had commented "at least he knows what its for!".

I think he'd make a great medicine cat, just give him a couple seasons to fully mature. But I think he has enough spirit (no pun intended) to be a great healer.
Jayfeather's still a bit of a jerk, but at least he gets along with his mother now. His sharp humor is admirable, though Cinderpelt will always to be my favorite medicine cat.
