Thank you hun! Glad to hear it!

Wet on wet is one little trick - you know the technique you used for the background on your "Blooming" painting. (..you did use it there, right? )
Difficult to explain otherwise.. I might have to make a vid one of these days.

Wooow... I can't stop looking at it. It is just amazing!!

Hey, wait a minute... I'm drinking water, right now, from the glass that's exactly the same as the one sitting on your desk.

CamillaMalcus In reply to MayumiOgihara [2010-05-07 17:09:28 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much!
Haha, from Ikea, perchance? I really ought to use other water containers when I paint; it's happened that I've taken a sip of the wash water..

The-Blackwolf In reply to CamillaMalcus [2010-05-07 18:32:16 +0000 UTC]

after reading this I just have to comment that I once had a cup of watercolor water on the desk, and a cup of coca-cola next to it (I always eat or drink something when I paint ) and I washed the brush in the coke and the brush had like a lot of color in it, so I couldn't drink the coke anymore.. after that I've kept my coke far away from the wash water. though it happened once again, but that time there was just little bit of color in the brush so I didn't really mind and just kept drinking

CamillaMalcus In reply to The-Blackwolf [2010-05-07 20:05:57 +0000 UTC]

I do the same with my tea, haha! I don't know how many times I've dipped my brush in the teacup instead of in the water.
(Odd thing really, since the teacup looks very different to the water container in both colour and shape.. *hopeless*)

The-Blackwolf In reply to CamillaMalcus [2010-05-08 19:00:30 +0000 UTC]

haha that's weird I happen to use the same kind of plastic cups for my wash water and drinks so that's kinda understandable, but I have no idea what's wrong with you haha but I do have a feeling that if I used different kind of cups I'd still do that

Hahaha! I'm too absorbed in the painting process to pay notice to trivial, worldly matters like that around me, you know..

Wow, part 2 of your tutorial is exactly what I knew it would be... as before, a master class in watercolour painting. I've always wondered how you create such realistic looking fabric in your paintings, and this tutorial describes the process perfectly. So well in fact that it couldn't be any better if it tried - it's so professionally done. It's simply amazing Cami!

CamillaMalcus In reply to Crynyd [2010-05-07 17:06:09 +0000 UTC]

Thank you Nigel , I really appreciate your kind comment and support!
Looking at the tutorial now, I'm thinking I should have taken more photos during the painting process. If I ever make another walkthrough, I might just have to rig up the camera on a tripod and use a remote trigger, so I won't have to interrupt my work every other minute to take a pic. (Which I always forget anyhow.. )
