does the pencil brand matter much? i mean like crayola color pencils are inexpensive, so does it have cheaper quality?

I don't think that the brand matters much. But there are always differences in quality. The polychromos pencils from Farber Castell, for example, are very high in pigments which is what makes them so great. Some cheaper pencils might be very low in pigments. But there are also inexpensive pencils that are good for a start. And I've also heard very positive things about Crayola pencils but I haven't used them yet. If you want to you can just try them out and see if you like them. C:

I blend by layering different colors and using different amounts of pressure. I, for example, use lighter tones to blend darker colors. I hope this was helpful.

thank you for such a great tutorial and with a character I love well Im more a Dean girl but I have been wanting to explore colored pencil since the meduim travels well and this really broke down skin tones to a understandable level
