Here is my Ghost Howrse that I submitted to Howrse.com for the "Halloween Black Pearl" contest!! I'm really, really hoping that I win!! Wish me luck!!

I won, I won, I WON!!! WOOOTS!!!
Ok, so there were 9 different Halloween-themed categories; pumpkins, witches, ghosts, spiders, bats, ghost horses, witch hats, skeletons, and abandoned castles.
Now, the point of the contest was to get a pic from each category to win and they would be used on the Howrse.com website where a random one would randomly fly around your screen and you'd have to catch it to get a pre-defined prize, based on the pic you got to show up.
THEN, they made my winning Ghost Horse the RAREST and MOST VALUABLE out of all of the other categories! Even to the point where if you would buy these packs of "passes" on the site, they would dramatically increase your chance of getting the Ghost Horse to pop up, lmao.

Oh, I get it, hehe. But yes, I have heard a rumor that the Black Pearl should be opening fairly soon, since we had all those new breeds open up, and the fact that it has been a VERY long time since the last BP, lol. I can't wait!! lol

Hehe, and I got a message from the admin hosting the contest, asking me if she could not only use my Ghost Howrse as the cover to the photo album she made for all the winners, but she also wanted permission to use one of my other entries, the pumpkin, also maybe as the album cover or somewhere else on the website, mostly because it uses the Horse logo, hehe. I'm tickled!! lmao

Haha, wow. 8D Good for you, they were all well-designed...I think one of my favorite aspects of them was that they actually looked like Howrse UFO's...the designs were really clean and instantly recognizable. Glad they were honored as per their just desserts. :3

I think the best part about the actual contest, was that it sparked up a bunch of nifty ideas and I was so happy to have been able to pull a couple of them off, hehe. It got me out of an art block I was falling into, lol.
And actually, a couple of the other categories had some other lovely creative pieces win! Like, the human ghost cat. had a ghost girl in a dress with ghostly horse heads all over in the skirt. The pumpkin cat. had a horse made out of a pumpkin, like a giant pumpkin, with vines for mane, tail, and feathers, even the stem makes it look like a unicorn. So, clearly other wonderful ideas were created and it was so exciting to see all the other winners!

Gotta love them boredom busters. Oh, I don't deny that the others were fantastic as well...it actually wasn't until my second viewing that I saw the horse heads in the dress, but I thought that was really neat. But what I liked about the ghost horse was how crisp it was...already looked like a howrse item, if you know what I mean. XD The pumpkin horse rocked too. But anyway, massive congrats.

A red eye really would have added to it, by the way. Of course, if you're not going for the truly creepy, mean ghost, you wouldn't want a red eye... hm.

Hehehe, thank you for the tip! I think it is actually past the due date for entries to the contest now, but I think it will either succeed or fail with or without the red eye, lol. Basically, I like the "empty" eye because it reminds me more of how a ghost would look, and this Howrse game is literally mostly played by girl under the age of 12, so some might get a little scared if a ghostly horse with burning red eyes suddenly flies around their screen, lmao.

That's awesome! I love the pose, and the mane and tail look fabulous. I really like the icy breath. Your shading is just fantastic, it's so smooth!

Hahahaha, I'm still scared that someone is maybe spending the entire 2+ weeks on a Ghost Horse that it is just going to blow mine out of the water,
Hahah, Howrse has a handful of equine artists that play that they could commission, but I don't think that would EVER happen, LMAO. But, I don't know, maybe Howrse purposely makes the normal graphics so bad that players will want to buy a Golden Apple to pick a new coat, hehe
