Had been requesting a piece of Rain for quite some time and I finally had time to work on it.He requested her to be quite heavily pregnant and so I took that and ran with it. Lucky Domon... seems like he'll have his hands full for a while. However it seems as though Rain won't be doing much piloting for quite a while.
It had been a while since I had drawn a pregnant piece so it took some time getting back into it. My boyfriend also helped me get the shine right as I'm horrible at adding shine to anything.... So I have to thank him for helping me out. However it was really interesting because as soon as I got done shading it, my boyfriend was standing off a ways and was like "You used so much graphite, I don't think it needs too much shining."

Kinda funny, when you consider that on an average Gundam suit, the cockpit is in the abdominal area. (if the way Chibodee bails out of his damaged Gundam Maxter is any indication)

But why would a pregnant lady be wearing a pilot suit? And why would the makers of that pilot suit label make a suit for pregnant women in the first place?

It's a request. Pretty much the same as a commission, I just don't get paid for it. I don't see what the problem is... Pregnancy isn't a weird or gross thing. It's a natural thing, and it's understandable why some people are into it. I don't mind drawing pregnancy myself; It just bothers me when it gets to unrealistic pregnancy belly sizes. Y'know, to each their own.
But to answer these questions, IF you watch the series, when a pilot gets into the Gundam in the G Gundam series, the suit literally molds around them. Here's a clip from the show to show that. [link] So as you can see it would be possible for her to still pilot. lol Just not the best decision she could have made. lol
