3 of 7 for fan art week. my grasp of the passage of time is really poor.

So I LOVE Jem and the holograms! I was literally forged on this cartoon. it probably has in some strange way shaped how I draw and is most likly the root of the fixation with the 80's.

I LOVE the 80's always have and always will. that background color selection is god awful but I had to do it for the simple fact that EVERYTHING was horribly colored in the 80's to say that " it clashed" would not even be the tip of the ice berg.

This show was the epitome of the 80's and I LOVED it because of it's awesomely bad outfits and huge hair! I did however HATE one this about the 80's and this show is guilty of it : shoulder pads on women. a bigger fashion crime them VPL. because of that fad people drew their women with big manly shoulders regardless if they were wearing those hideous should pads or not. and this crime on art and fashion continues today with amateur artists drawing manly shouldered women. I blame the 80's entirely for this V shaped women in the media bullshit thats so popular. if only that mentality would go the way of teased hair and acid wash jeans. This show was also guilty of everyone being the same height and the chracters only having 6 faces .

regardless of its perpetuation of broad shouldered women the show itself was pretty awesome! I loved it! it was an excellent show for little girls to relate too and the music was pretty boss aswell ( though PERSONALLY I liked the music the misfits made more ) I got the entire series on DVD for Christmas and I'm not even half way through it so it's obvious how Jem managed to worm her way into my fan art week!
