Description Thowback Thursday is a thing somewhere, I've seen it. I've never participated but I know because I was confused by a fair number of facebook posts that said #TBT until someone told me what was happening. = D

I'm home for the summer and just got my computer all maintenanced and up and running, and I plugged in an old hard drive because it was there. It was like being run over by a nostalgia train. Conveniently I came across this mess of 2009 drawings already slapped on top of each other. It's even saved as a .bmp and I don't know the last time I did that. x'D I see some characters that might be recognizable, some of the International Wolf Center's wolves (two Lakotas (portrait and sitting on a rock), one Aidan, and two Denalis to be specific (the two together in the lower portion of the frame were supposed to be Aidan and Denali)), and some that I'm not actually sure about. I guess those are random wolves, I don't know. I think this was something of an awkward stage for my style. Not the worst awkward that ever happened, but I see it, still lurking there. Mainly around noses.

Two posts in one night?
Yes.

Man, this is really good! This was back in 2009? I gotta say I really love the smirk in the bottom right corner. You should so do a tutorial on anthropomorphizing wolf expressions.

Thank you! : D That could be interesting, if I ever figured out how to get it into tutorial format. Mostly the process of getting the hang of it took a lot of carefully observing human expressions and how they worked (movies and tv shows are great for this), and similar observation of huge numbers of canid photos to see what sort of facial movements/expressions already occur naturally, then figuring out and fine-tuning how to combine elements of both those things on a still fairly realistic-looking canid face. If that makes sense.

Ah thank you C: Haha it was so long ago. Wolfquest times! I actually found a full color Osprey picture when I was going through stuff.
