Description
A JRT of normal weight this time at least, lol. This is a deceased dog, she contracted a mystery virus at the age of 4 and died of it unfortunately. The owner had spent some time looking around for an artist who's work she liked enough to portray her. She was a special dog as she was her first flyball dog. As she is a member of Doncaster Bellestars, she saw the portrait of Bryn I did earlier in the year when it was handed over to his owner and contacted me to have Fizz done. Fortunately, she had some decent photos to work from.I'll be taking this to the British flyball summer champs this weekend because Sleet is competing there and Fizz's owner will be there on Friday so I can hand it over then.
A4 in size and done in the usual mixed media on Fabriano hotpress.

Depends on size and what you have done...they aren't cheap by your general persons standards because they take too long to paint to sell cheap.

It would be about £130 or there abouts in UK money....that wouldn't include cost of packing and sending it to the states though.

That is so sad. I think you did a fantastic job on this piece! Great job of capturing the character and likeness of this breed. I am sure the owner was so thrilled and will always treasure it.

Aww, the poor JRT. I knew somebody with a young lurcher who was healthy as anything, then one day out on a walk, he just dropped dead into the heather and had to be carried home for miles. The vet did an autopsy and said a blood vessel in his brain just gave out and burst. Young, unexpected animal deaths shake me a lot. I am sure they're all in a much better place now, though. I be the owner will love this painting.

Yes, having two youngsters myself, the thought of something happening to them would be horrid.

Owww... poor dog.
I'm sure the owner will love this as well as I love it. But I think she'll love it more. It almost look real.
Keep up the good work ~
