The Faide is officially a fully open species! So go on, make a free myo, make some breedables, heck, even pop out some adopts!

The updated sheet for my species Dukampos..now renamed the Faide! Should have all the basic information on here for now. I'll add additional lore and such later when I have the time, along with a list of some of the more commonly seen traits!

"Faide" is pronounced like "Fi-dee", it rhymes with "Heidi"! The name comes from the combination of "fairy" and "deer", and body-wise, they're a lot like deer or goats with a hint of seahorse.

In terms of anatomy, the body has an exaggerated 'peanut' shape, with an enlarged rib cage and slits along the sides for air intake. Faide actually able to make sounds by rushing air through these vents on their sides and necks, though primarily language is spoken with the mouth. For the most part, Faide have hardened chitin-like hooves which can either be flat or pointed into claws, only in rare occurrences do they have actual "paws" after the first week of hatching.

Faide hatch as a generic gray creature with paws, small ears, and a small tail, but nothing else. They still have the holes on their necks and sides to enable breathing, but no pouch is formed until they eat. After they begin to eat their chosen food source, the pouches on their necks rapidly begin growing and the markings and colorations begin to appear as well. Their paws also harden into hooves and their ears elongate over the next few months, and at about a year or two, they are like a miniature version of an adult Faide.

The Faide grow to be between 4 and 5 feet tall at the withers, though some that are more malnourished may only grow to be 2 or 3 feet tall. Personalities vary greatly from Faide to Faide and what's true for one individual may not be true for another as they are fully sentient beings. Some Faide are able to morph themselves temporarily into an anthro and even humanoid form, though this is difficult for them and uses a lot of magic. On occasion they may shift to a humanoid form to blend in with human societies, though they are always easily identifiable by the holes in their necks with which they breathe.

Faide also live in small homes called Glens! This glen is made out of whatever materials are nearest, so a cave is just as likely as a burrow or a leafy little home where they sleep and collect their items. Faide often enjoy socializing in these Glens and there are often various public glens available in communities for traveling Faide or new members to the community.

As Faide grow older, they are also able to shift into a variety of forms, but traditionally, they tend to remain in either a feral, anthro, or humanoid form! Faide who have lived for a particularly long time or have an excess of magic are optimally able to shift into an almost entirely human form, the only differences generally being the vent holes around the neck, which they must keep in order to breathe, feral form or not!
