This is frightening good. Usually i can't take "pony's with weapons" serious... but here it works. Damn. Kinda looks like you carved a form, poured color and iron into it and put it in a furnace... - it blends all so well into one another, like it was made in one go... - really helps the dark atmosphere :3

I've recently been re-reading Past Sins whilst on holiday this weekend, and when I got to the part where Nyx transforms into Nightmare Moon, and later on attacks both Celestia and Luna with her magical sword, I couldn't help thinking of this painting... My mind always wandered back to it somehow.
