Quirk: Density-Based Shapeshifting

Quirk Description:

A shapeshifting quirk controlled by shifting her density but limited to the blob-mass of her body. She can shapeshift into mostly anything solid, but retains her mass in the process. As an example, smaller objects and creatures, due to compacting herself, are thicker/ heavier/ stronger than normal, while bigger objects and creatures are lighter and easier to defeat. She uses the quirk both offensively (by physical, heavy attacks) and stealthily (by shapeshifting into other people or objects). (Her body mass index is 26.9)

Quirk Type: Transformation

Quirk Drawbacks: She takes more damage when shifted. For example: if she's in a human or an object form, she will bleed and feel pain like normal. However, the smaller the object, the less pain she takes, due to how dense she is. If too much damage is taken, she subconsciously reverts to blob form and (under extreme circumstances) may be too weak to maintain a shifted form. In her blob form, she's impervious to most physical damage due to her consistency. However, excessive heat and excessive cold are more damaging in this state (fire will broil her blob mass while ice will brittle her blob mass). If done properly, both extremes can kill her.
Separate transformations possible, but only at close proximity. Mass can be lost if she is not cautious (hard to retrieve, but can be reattached easily if found). Separated transformations can only last a few minutes before the separated parts are returned to lifeless blobs. If the user runs out of mass, the transforming power is heavily limited, and in extreme damage can be lost entirely. More mass gets added on as the user ages (objects that get stuck inside her and the food she digests all contribute to her blob mass), but cannot be created or destroyed on a whim. Although she cannot create mass, her body is aware of the general quota of mass it needs. Under circumstances of excessive loss, she will be bedridden for weeks, but be producing twice to three times as much mass as normal (meaning, she'll have a need to eat that much more to make up for it!). Once the quota is reached, her body returns to normal production.

When she feels like someone is being mocked or hurt for any reason, she is driven to become defensive and protective towards them (she has a great disdain for bullies or petty people that like to cause trouble). If the time calls for it, she can become leader-like and stand up for herself and those around her. On the other hand, when other people need to take the lead or make a clear show of their leadership, she will regress to a mere follower. She understands her place in this world and is more than willing to lend a hand if needed. Though she is naturally kind, she is not one to be underestimated. She can get quite competitive and forceful when provoked, which is a needed trait in her newfound hero profession. Sometimes, as a playful joke, she may change into other objects or people, mimicking them (though she’s not really good at impersonations). Growing up proved to be a challenge at first. In order to fully participate in her class, she had to learn to mimic humanoids. This started as mimicing the faces and behaviors of her classmates, and from time to time people found this annoying (both teachers and students alike). She was always coined as the copycat, trying to fit in and never really able to. Though shunned in a way, she made it her goal to master a stable, humanoid form, copying the faces and bodies of classmates, parents, teachers, and heroes she admired. When she was about 10, she learned to combine facial features in order to create her very own face. With this ability mastered, middle school was relatively easy. She made a fresh start and was able to gain a better reputation and some good friends. Her parents pressured her and chastised her constantly. "Watch over your brother's health." "Your brother is weak. Make sure he doesn't get in trouble." Comments like this drove her to pity him and parent him all the time. Sure, she would protect him… but it became super annoying! The kid always wanted to fight other kids that were bigger and stronger than he was, and she had to constantly step in and beat up his bullies. Since she had his back, even when he never wanted it, he'd remark that she’d make a great heroine. Growing up as the protective sister, and remarks like this, she felt inspired. Knowing that 20% of the population stand completely defenseless in this villain-filled world, she was driven to help others feel safe too!
