I really love Egyptian stuff and I'm reading a book about Kleopatra at the moment, so I guess I was inspired to do this. It's some kind of cross between a man and a cat/dog. He's guarding some place, I guess. (I seem to like guards.
) Maybe he lives in Sivu's temple? I really like how the candle came out and also the creature's feet. The rest I'm only so-so on. I think I just got sick of this picture too soon.

Ooh. His feet do look cool! Are they small, though, compared to his shoulders? I dunno. What's its name had small feet, too, I think - the thing that ate the hearts of the unpure. I like the patterns. He's a very cool design. I didn't have to read your descript to see her's a guardian of sorts.

cool job. really hard to say wether it's mostly human or mostly animal with the anatomic conjunctions and all.

Looks fine to me as it is now; especially those jackalish ears. The expression looks as if the beast is possessed and the stribes are wicked too. Of course you could've added some hieroglyps etc to the background, but I understand when one just simply gots bored with the picture and doesn't want to do anything more to it. Anyway, this gets my imagination going and it's easy to imagine this kind of Sphinx beast suddenly in front of you while being trapped inside the catacombs
And hey, you really should read the book, Sinuhe the Egyptian, by Mika Waltari. Great adventures in the ancient Egypt. One learns a lot about Egyptian history from that book, if interested

COOL! Egypt rocks! One of my life ambitions is to go to Egypt (when ever it's coldest XD) and run around with a towel on my head screaming "I'M A PHAROH!!!" I'll probably get arrested but what the heck.
