I'd be WAY more pumped about the lack of back-breaking aches and pains that result from sleeping on the cold, dank ground. Did you know, though, that etymologists (AND entomologists) aren't sure why the earwig is called the earwig, but they DO like to crawl up into enclosed spaces at night.Β Which means, if you're sleeping on the ground, and your ear canal is facing downward, then...Β

it's weird because earwigs are the most passive bugs i've seen but i STILL CANNOT HANDLE THEM.
i remember sitting cross-legged in my grandparents' house in Idaho and feeling a little tickle in my leg and standing up and it ran it was a fuCKING EARWIG JESUS SHIT.
