Having to figure out how the prostetics work must be so emotionally challenging. When I had my eye surgery I was seeing everything EXTREMELY blurry for two days and it felt trapping. And for 23 years before that seeing blurry was my thing. And then my doctor had overly corrected one eye because he knew that eye would relapse 6 months after the surgery but I had completely forgotten about this, so for six months I had several nightmares about my sight going bad again and not having glasses anymore and being seriously afraid of not being able to drive (I guess I forgot pharmacy glasses exist?) and for a surgery that is supposed to make your life better AND went 100% well it took some time to actually make me feel better and not worse overall. I still have the occasional nightmare about my sight going bad again.

Good eye! Corelle has been in Loris House for six months at this point recovering from surgery and has lost weight as a result. That and Madeline is pretty short.

Well, Corelle's face seemed less rounded, more mature, so I thought it's rather because of weight lost (hospitality, rehabilitation is stressful)

Kind of surreal, especially with that sunlight and white background.
Re-learning all the micro-gestures, and having to decompose any movement into small steps, with arms that don't move exactly on thought like the ol' ones used to must indeed be quite the frustrating lesson.
In her place I'd probably go crazy wondering if I'll ever be able to draw again ^^"
Also, why are her stumps not the same length ? On page 33 of Mermaid in a Manhole, she had a bit of left arm left... I guess the left stump was still a bit infected, or healed badly, and had to be shortened ?
