Hmm the text in the bubbles looks like it suffered from resizing or something, somewhat blurrier than in other pages. Not sure if it was the case before the colour update as well. Maybe it's just because it's slightly smaller and less bold?

These cupboard around Viktor makes room alike he don't have pernament place to live. Is this his home or just recetnly rent motel room?
The last panel about pants was good accent to make situation for a moment a bit less gloomy. "For a moment" I guess

I've learned that when something difficult or devastating happens in real life, people get quiet. They just kind of sit there and silently try to grasp what is happening. Then, after a short time has past (the length of which depends on the person), they try to do something about it, whether it's pretending nothing is wrong, actively trying to adapt, or work to further understand the situation (sometimes a combination of the three).
Rarely have I seen people break down like they do in fiction. My stepmother and her relatives would break down at the drop of a hat, but they were attention whores and didn't have any real coping mechanisms. However, when something REALLY hard happened, even they would clam up.
People are weird, illogical, but overall strangely flexible.

I had seen situation where people break down atmosphere, but in rather quarell than serious problems.
Oh, wait- I am always suprised how funny situation my granny uncle (brother of my granmother) had wrote in his memories - about II World War or ever his action during Warsaw Rising in 1944. For example that he fall asleep holding his grenadier and he woke up.... with cotter in hand or just he drop this grenadier. When he found greandier back (and put back cotter)- he couldn't stop laughting with his friend.
Also uncle Stephan was 18 during that time, just a kid who wanted to atend in something big (that's how he show himself in diary). And who wanted to chose badass, brave nickname (every Insungier during Warsaw Rising used nick instead of true name)- and he couldn't image anything good. He just looked at window next to which was putted siphon.
And that how he went into history of Rising as Siphon.
