Description
This is ~Cluastrophobia 's character, Inflicts Myusile. We set up a trade quite awhile ago and she drew Chase for me at my request, and in return, I was to draw Inflicts for her. I've finally gotten around to it.EDIT 4: DONE! No, I dunno what the sparklies are for...
Inflicts Myusile is copyright to ~Cluastrophobia
Artwork copyright to me.
I have no problems taking anyones' ass to court.

Haha, wow!! Thanks!! I think this one might've been some sort of fluke though as most of my other digital pieces didn't turn out quite so well; I'm very very glad you like it though!

Hmm, no, not particularly. I was actually a little more sloppy about the coloring I think I was doing it the same way I normally do, I just added that funky blue-ish lighting

Oh, this came out quite lovely!
Great job on the shading/highlights - really gives her a feeling of substance. (And it was great to see this one progress from rough sketch to finished product. Always neat to see how an artist gets from blank page to finished work. ^_^)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Captain-Chase In reply to ktsukami31 [2009-01-14 02:21:40 +0000 UTC]
Oh, I just do it the easy way; I just put my own watermark on a different layer and then dim down the opacity a bit so that it's fairly hidden. I just basically overlay it over everything else in the picture

What brush did you use to make those lines look like that? Photoshop, right? I can't figure out how to draw on photoshop with those types of lines, like, tapering ends.

Captain-Chase In reply to bean93 [2009-01-05 00:12:01 +0000 UTC]
Ah, yes, photoshop 7.0. That's meh favorite. I do those sorts of lines with the pen tool. If you know how to use that, then making the lines all tapered like that is really easy. When you click Stroke Path, you're given a box in which to choose what tool you would like to stroke the path with. I choose the paintbrush and make sure it's the size I want, and then to do the tapered ends, you only have to check the box that says Simulate Pressure and it'll do that awesome smooth crisp line for you and do the tapered end thing! I love the effect so I use that as often as I feel I can get away with.

Yes, it should. I've owned the first CS but prefer 7.0. The pen tool icon should look like this: [link]

Oh geez.... I'm having the hardest time. xD Are you willing to help me out a teeny weeny bit? xD (I totally understand that your version might be really different than CS2)
Okay, well, I've located the Pen Tool. So... I clicked it, drew two lines but... man, thos lines are NOT COOL. Not even lines... when I draw one line, and try to draw another, it makes this wierd wavy line and... fills it in with black. Is that how it's supposed to go? O_o I make wierd shapes!!! And I can't find the "stroke" option, where is it at?

Captain-Chase In reply to bean93 [2009-01-05 03:05:48 +0000 UTC]
Ahh, yes. For the longest time I never ever knew how to use the darn thing but when I sought help it was the easiest thing to do. The tutorial I used that was very simple and helped every little bit was here: [link]
The part at the beginning is very important. If you select the pen tool to use and have a different bar up top than the one shown in the tutorial, let me know and take a screenshot of what you do see so that maybe I can figure it out. Once you get it so the pen tool doesn't do what you just had happen, it's very simple and will do almost any line you'd like it to.
Also, to stroke the line you just created by making the dots, you have to right click and select Stroke. I hope it works the same in CS2.
