"May all cats old enough to run over the moors gather for a clan meeting!"

Meadowstar's call rang through the clearing, entering the ears of all cats in range and summoning them forth. Fawnpaw poked her head out of the elder's den with curiosity, pieces of moss sticking to her body in random areas. What was this meeting about? Could it be...? The female looked back at one of the elders and asked them to pardon her, to which they gave a sarcastic comment and told her to hurry along to whatever meeting it was. Fawnpaw smiled graciously and bounded off.

As cats began to gather, she tried to find Mistystream so she would have someone to sit with. Sure enough, she was sitting in the front-row with groomed fur, looking very pleased. What had her in such a good mood today? The apprentice trotted over to her mentor and then flopped her rear down, staring up with wonder and confusion. Mistystream shot a small wink at her apprentice. What does that mean...?

Meadowstar held his head high and his stance tall, his gaze turning to the sky.
"I, leader of WindClan, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained vigorously for longer than most to understand the ways of our noble code, and I shall commend her to you as a warrior in return."
Fawnpaw felt her pelt grow feverish, and her eyes were so wide they felt like they were going to pop out of her head onto the grassy ground below. Meadowstar stared into Fawnpaw's eyes with a smile, and motioned her to step up with her tail. Fawnpaw very shakily stepped forward, completely aware of the moss that littered her legs. There was no time to fix it now.

"Fawnpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend our clan, even at the cost of your life?" His voice boomed, and Fawnpaw shook her head up and down as hard as she could, a grin cracking so wide onto her face that she feared it may rip her face in two. Her paws bounced around, her body became pumped with soaring levels of adrenaline, and her voice was hitching and uneven. A fuzzy feeling clouded her mind. Meadowstar blinked at her, dipping his head to show that he acknowledged her reply.
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Fawnpaw, from this moment forth you will be known as Fawnheart. StarClan honours your relentless spirit, your undying loyalty and your kind heart, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan!"

Meadowstar gracefully leapt down from where he stood, and walked over until he was able to rest his chin upon Fawnpaw's head. She gave his shoulder a lick with her head still spinning, and that is when the cats around her picked up her name. "Fawnheart! Fawnheart! Fawnheart!"

Today, she thought to herself, was absolutely the best day of her life.

it's been quite a long time coming! she's had a tough go at apprenticeship, but this sickly little former-kittypet has proven to her clan that she is worthy of being a warrior!
i'm honestly really nostalgic,,, i remember when she had just been brought into WoBS? it was so long ago ; v ;
