Communication .
Fawnpaw is mute, which means she is not able to speak. The most she can do is make slight noises, but they're hardly noticeable and usually scratchy. Overall, she can't make verbal sounds, so often uses silly actions to show what she's saying.
A few basics that are usually consistent are:
- Nodding - Approval/"yes"
- Shaking her head - Disapproval/"no"
- Tail wagging - Excitement, eagerness, etc
- Leg shaking in front of her (extended) - Sore legs. Needs a rest.
Makes facial expressions to show her emotions. She is great at showing how she feels without words, and uses both her body and her face with exaggeration when needed.
- **Note | I will ALWAYS state in RP what Fawnpaw is trying to act out! (ex. "Fawnpaw jumped up and down in a circle, trying to act like a racing rabbit in the moors.") Your cat doesn't have to get it originally, but I will make sure that you (as the RPer) know what she is doing.**
. H i s t o r y .
Please note--her apprentice moons will last until she is 16-18 (maybe longer, depending on complications) due to the sickly genes caused by her breeds. She will also be lucky if she lives to see 80+ moons, and will likely retire around 60-70 moons.
. Kittypet Life . "The Muted Fawn."
(0-7 Moons)
- Florencia was born in a breeding center. Her breed didn't match what they wanted her to be, and she wasn't a perfect mix. Her sickly body wasn't very desirable to the breeders, either. She was put into an animal shelter but soon taken in by a kind twoleg. She was raised with two (adopted) siblings that teased her by calling her a dog frequently. She usually got flustered and annoyed, but was generally happy.
- It came to a time that the twoleg had to give her away, and her new twoleg wasn't as nice. Her new twoleg was annoyed by her meowing, clipping her vocal chords when she was 7 moons old. She was treated poorly and often didn't have enough to eat--the regulated veterinarian visits that she should have been taken to went ignored, making her sickly condition become even worse by the passing day. Eventually, either to find something new or escape her twolegs' home. After off and on running and various collapses and injuries, she stumbled onto WindClan territory, soon being discovered by a patrol of their clan's members. She wasn't able to speak to communicate, and was too exhausted to try and explain it through actions. They took her in, and when she was finally able to focus on others, they explained to her what being a warrior was. Florencia was very eager and curious, though she had been a kittypet previously, which made her an icon of hilarity among a few clanmates. She didn't show much more than determination. Her condition was bad, but she wanted to actually be living. So she decided to take on a kit's name until she was well enough to train with the warriors.
. "Kithood" . "The Beginning of Something New."
(7-8 Moons)
- Fawnkit was a kit for a moon while the medicine cat tried to find out what to do with her. Her state was hard to stabilize, as well as how easily fatigued she was. She spent her whole moon as a "kit" in the clan being cared for in the medicine cat's den with Meadowlark (now Meadowstar) until she was okay (enough) to begin training.
. Apprenticehood (Part 1) . "The Eye of the Storm."
(8-10 Moons)
- Fawnpaw has become an apprentice. She is aware that her training will be longer than the training of other apprentices because of her condition, but she truly wants to become a warrior. Her mentor was none other than the leader of the clan, Flamestar. The apprentice was quite glad! It meant that she wouldn't be let off easy, and she knew that this tom intended to work her to the core. She could feel herself fizzing up with excitement during her ceremony!
- During her apprenticeship that lasted a few short moons before the incident, she felt like the orange tom was almost like the fatherly figure she never had the chance to have. She also became pretty close to a she-cat named Mistystream--not as close as she was to Flamestar, but quite close.
- Then the incident occurred. Some of the clan cats fled the rising water while others stayed behind. She was originally part of the group that was taking their leave. Something caught her gaze during the journey, and somehow, she wound up separated from the group completely. Not even a scent could be distinguished. Leaf-bare had began its reign on the area--the high altitude made it worse. She had no choice but to turn back. But that was not the choice that she had chosen to do. Instead, the wind had to knock her out, and the snow needed to numb her paws. The apprentice blacked out.
- When she awoke, she was back in the old, soggy WindClan territory with the remainder of the stay-behinds. Flamestar was long gone.
. Apprenticehood (Part 2) . "Trial and Error."
(10-18 Moons)
- Fawnpaw was tired and defeated, but became Mistystream's apprentice shortly following her return to the territories. The spotted female tried everything in her power to get Fawn to train well and hard, but it didn't take much. Fawnpaw began training hard to get back into the mountains to find Flamestar.
- Her time training with Misty has slowly softened her resolve, but has not completely changed her mind. It would be possible that her (almost) father would return on his own, and the apprentice didn't want to leave Misty just go to to the mountain range. It was troublesome to think about.
- She spent most of this part of her apprenticehood trying to sort through her thoughts. Mistystream and her continued to train and grow close, and she met some good friends. The most notable one was Silentstep. She met this tom on a day that she was feeling pretty down, and they bonded over their disabilities. Honestly... She slowly developed a tiny crush on him. Nothing noticeable.
- Everything was going swimmingly, until she stumbled into ShadowClan territory in the dead of leaf-bare while trying to escape a monster. There, she ran into what she thought was one of the worst cats ever existing. Maplepaw, with gleaming eyes and the desire to hurt. She tried to question the mute russet-apprentice, and when she couldn't verbally respond, a one-sided beat-down occurred. Fawnpaw ended up bleeding profusely and nearly drowning in the swamp. Luckily, Sheepcloud came to save her. She managed to snag some of the assailant's fur, the cat was caught, and Fawnpaw spent some recovery time in the medicine cat's den.
- Finally... After many road-blocks, she was ready to become a warrior. She finished her training, did well on her assessment, and definitely made everyone proud.
. Warriorhood, Suspended . "Snared."
(18-51 Moons)
- Fawnheart spent her vigil silently thanking all of those who had helped her get this far. Especially, her late adoptive-father figure, Flamestar.
- Spends time being a normal warrior, Misty goes missing, Fawn starts falling apart but puts herself back together. Fawn does well.
- Flesh out later; Fawnheart grows ill, spends 15 moons in the med den, starts recovering in what Fawnheart assumed is a StarClan miracle--she starts believing fully in StarClan. Undergoes physical therapy and training so she's not rusty (Given by Chickadeeshade).
- Finally, she's back in top shape--and she's better than ever. Fawnheart had lots of time to make up for, and with some help from those around her, she made it back to the warrior she once was. Now was her time to progress in life.

Facts .
- She had her vocal chords clipped before she ran away. She is mute, but can make a few noises that are often scratchy and quiet.
- She is not afraid of her disability.
- Her ears have a mind of their own.
- She resembles a dog--her littermates used to tease her about that.
- She is the notorious fluff-cuddler. If you're fluffy (and she trusts you) she's going to cuddle with you. Beware!
- She is quite sickly; her apprenticeship will last longer than most other cats, and she often tires from tasks other cats think are easy. This is due to two of the breeds that make her being mashed (Scottish Fold + American Ringtail). This will also make her retire early in the future, and kitting would be VERY tiring for her, possibly ending in her death/the death of any of her kit(s).
- Pushes herself to the limit on occasion.
- Since being attacked by Maplepaw, Fawnheart has been very wary of cats that look similar to the calico. She jumps easily, is quite paranoid, and often stays up during the night from the fear that she found out about Fawnheart's survival and was coming to finish her off. Her sleep, what little she gets, is usually consumed by nightmarish visions of near death and being slashed at. Do not try to jokingly sneak up on her, you will trigger something.

A snippet from an RP between me and @/echosn0w;
Echopaw watched as the scene unfolded. The ice, hardly able to carry their weight, collapsing in. Ibispaw, a cat she didn't know the name of, plummeting into the depths. The cat was faced with a dillema. She tried to step forward, but the ice began splintering under her paw pads too. She could feel her ancestors watching her, observing to see what she would do, given that the child of her enemy clan's warriors was drowning before her... And, in a sudden flurry of movement, Echopaw surged forward, found a sound section of the ice, and plunged half of her sleek body into the current. It began tugging at her, frost coating her body, but she pressed on. She may loathe this cat for where she came from, but she couldn't let her die. As Ibispaw was just getting out of reach, Echopaw lurched forward--snagging the apprentice's scruff, but this, in turn, dragged her under as well. She felt fear take over her body, clogging her senses, but the determination she had to survive was way more prominent. What was I taught? Oh, Echopaw, think, think! What did your mentor tell you to do?
It was then that the RiverClan apprentice noticed that the ice was now littered with cracks, each of them lacing around to the shores. That's it! Echopaw made sure that she had a firm grasp on the ThunderClan cat, churning her paws with ferocious determination as they met the riverbed, slammed them into it, and forced the two of them up fast enough to cause a breach in the ice. It was an awkward scenario--with Ibis and Echopaw only out of the water by their heads, having to climb out, but it served better than drowning... Especially with how particularly numb Echo was beginning to feel. "Paddle!" She hissed through a mouthful of fur, twisting the both of them so they could start swimming along the top of the current, busting the ice as they swam, not below it.
