Bio :
Shinji Yoshitai was once a proudful son of Keiji Yoshitai, who worked as an executive of Stark Industries. Unknown to Shinji's knowledge, his father was working with Tony Stark upon making a secret project named "Project Hachiman". Nozomu Akatsuki (later Ronin) once worked with Keiji Yoshitai and Tony Stark on the Project, using the magical artefact called the Heart of Hachiman which was found in the Sea of Japan. The Project itself was abandoned for 2 years, as Nozomu worked with Kenuichio Harada (later Silver Samurai) in Japan (although it didn't last long).

In his school, Shinji got an excellent score at science, mathematics, and physics. Years later, Shinji decided to attend a college in MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), where he finally joined ROTC, thus against his father's wish on becoming a scientist. There, he went from nothing into one of the stars in his college, and he was given a promising rank from ROTC. That was the story, until Shinji's life was nearly cut short due to a terrible plane crash, which was actually part of an assault that was made by the Mandarin (also known as the Khan), the leader of the Ten Rings.

Shinji's life was actually saved by SHIELD team. However, the SHIELD medic has stated that Shinji suffered from a terrible spinal cord injury (as a result of his heavy injury he got since the accident), and in this case, he barely couldn't move freely. He was later saved by Nozomu (who came back from Japan) with the Heart of Hachiman; in which, the Heart allowed Shinji to move again for awhile. Since then, Shinji and Nozomu eventually worked together and they created an armour in order to finish the Project Hachiman plan. Shinji's action was highly praised by SHIELD, and Shinji was nicknamed as 'Killer Oni'. Shinji, however, doesn't really like the name, and he decided to change his alias from Killer Oni to War Oni, especially after he became the protege of War Machine (James "Rhodey" Rhodes).

1. War Oni Armour: War Oni Armour was designed as part of Project Hachiman, in which the armor itself was powered by a magical artefact named the Heart of Hachiman. The suit mainly provides enhanced endurance and durability, allowing Shinji to fly, run faster, jump to extremely high heights, lift and push heavy objects. The armor is equipped with high calibre rifle and rocket launchers that are controlled from a small screen on right hand. It has weapon-grade repulsors, enhanced thrusters and the standard function of augmenting the strength and durability of its user. The armor has a system named T.O.R.I.I. (stands for Terrestrial Oriented Reality Intuitive Intelligence).

2. Meiyo: An ono (Japanese axe) made of cold iron. The axe can be used to release powerful electrical discharges and concussive blasts, and also absorb energy, while the axe could absorbs Shinji's negative feelings, especially rage.

Trivia :
1. Shinji's axe, Meiyo (名誉), came from a Japanese word, which literally means 'honor'.
2. Shinji appeared to be strongly willful, doesn't work well with any authority other than his own, and will enthusiastically tear down just about anyone who challenges him. He's complicated, a little self-absorbed, and sometimes moody. He also appeared to be temperament, too. He remained a rival to his fellow SHIELD member, Tozen Hokoshi (also known as Kyofu), although both Shinji and Tozen remained friends.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I had this idea for around 2 years ago, but well, that DAMN pandemic nearly destroyed the plan. Luckily, I was able to finish this one.

I am actually a big fan of Samurai movies, especially those from Akira Kurosawa. However, I made my plan clear after watching Edge of Tomorrow (as this is one of those very few Hollywood manga adaptations that actually works, and yet, that's the only Hollywood manga movie that I never had a problem with although I am still bitter to that whitewashing issues), and... this OC was born. I gotta say, Edge of Tomorrow inspired me to create this Marvel OC / Marvelsona, as I found it fun to mix the Edge of Tomorrow "Combat Jacket" elements with some Samurai vibes (because damn, that Jacket reminds me a lot to War Machine Mark VII Armour!).

Plus, Nozomu Akatsuki is actually a character who appeared in Marvel Disk War; I wanna put Nozomu Akatsuki in Earth-ARV45 with several changes. In Earth-ARV45, Nozomu Akatsuki became Ronin after his agreement with Silver Samurai ended, and also, in Earth-ARV45, Nozomu Akatsuki version of Ronin isn't a villain at all.
