The Defender of Hell's Kitchen, not a new person, but the one and only Matt MurdockI think we all know his origin so I'm just gonna move past that to go to his present status.
Matt Murdock has moved up in his civilian life from lawyer to judge. But other than this his life is surprisingly empty since both of his friends, Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, are no longer with him. During a battle with Electro/Johnny Ohm, Foggy was struck with stray bolt of lighting and fell into a coma and Karen died years ago from cancer. To take his mind off being alone, Matt spends all the time he isn't in court to be Daredevil. Years of fighting and getting close to being 50 has taken its toll on Matt's body and he has to wear a special body brace/armor to keep himself as active as he was in his prime.
After an encounter with Mister Fear which ended in the villain accidentally falling to his death from a 10 story building and from the way the fight went, everyone assumed that Daredevil threw Mister Fear off the edge. With no way to prove he didn't do it except to his word, Daredevil is now being pursued by the police and other street level heroes who aren't affiliated with the Avengers. This incident has also drawn out villains that haven't been since in Hell's Kitchen in years, villains like Elektra and Bullseye.

Well like any large opponent, you need to go for his eyes so he cannot see you and go for his legs so he cannot move, but Kingpin is a bit stronger than the 2003 version.
