Just a cute doodle based off my first roleplay with Smokepaw and Littlepaw

Littlepaw frowned; his concern was justified. The rain should've ended a long time ago, yet here they were with damp paws and a depressing amount of clouds. The medicine den was sheltered and dry, and it was easy to forget just how many nests needed to be replaced with dry moss. "Well, mmh maybe we'll just have to look harder," she retorted, but it sounded more like she was assuring herself. She couldn't deny that he had a point... though the thought really ruffled her fur. She didn't like being wrong! "Though I guess we could tone it down if you think that'd be better," she mumbles as a sidethought under her breath.

Approaching the medicine den a second time, she challenged herself mentally to pick up more moss than her new companion. Childish she knew, but never did she promise to be mature. Watching him carefully, she made a point of absolutely stuffing her face with moss. Even if she silently knew he made a good call on the bedding, she would still prove to be good at this job.

Smokepaw listened to the other apprentice as they padded back to the medicine den, half-heartedly amused by her answer. /'Just look harder'? Sure, why didn't I think of that, it solves everything./ He barely caught the mumbling that followed, but he replied to it with a compromising mew. “We'll see how much more moss we'll need once we make a few nests first, and then we can go back afterwards if they ask for more.” After all, he didn't want to appear disrespectful in front of the elders, if they asked, he couldn't say no.

Intent on making as few back-and-forth trips as possible, Smokepaw did his best to collect a larger amount of moss in his mouth this time, and got rewarded with the most earthy taste of dirt ever. However as he turned to look at his partner, he snorted, felt a scrap of moss go down his throat and started choking with laughter, which resulted in all the moss he picked up scattering around him. Coughing a bit in an attempt to clear his air ways of moss, his gaze returned back to the medicine apprentice who's own gaze could only just be seen above the curtain of moss covering the face of her face. “So are you hoping to be named Mossyface at your naming ceremony or are you just trying to hide from me.” He snickered, pawing a little foliage off his face as he recollected himself and the moss.
