This was something I was meaning to get done sooner, but I had like 3-5 job interviews in the past 2 weeks combined with one week of house and pet-sitting for a friend.

Before New Years, my family and I went to a restaurant and on our way home we saw an ice rink open nearby. The irony of that day was that I was wearing shorts and felt fine. Now, I know that some ice rinks use some manner of synthetic chemical to keeps it "icy," but seeing that ice rink work in mild temperatures made me question HOW it was still like that. Turns out some ice rinks also use plastic to supplement it.

That just seems weird. And then I got to thinking that the yuki-onna I like a lot wouldn't approve of a rink with plastic-esque ice. Because really, would you want an ice rink made of plastic?
