Yes, you are right. I guess it happend while trying to bring focus to the character using distance in values. I was affraid that turining him too dark would undo him as a focus point.

I had to draw the boy on traditional paper to get him right. Photoshop was teasing.

Damn you Photoshop! I think you lost too much detail in the scene when you updated the image. Too much shadow. Maybe you should have the lighting coming from another angle?

That sounded a bit strange x) But I get your point. The thing is that even dark scenes needs light to illuminate and make things interesting. If you just could bring the lighting from another angle you'd still get a lot of shade but also illuminate interesting things in the picture

I scribbled them more than I drew them. I like the composition and my teacher also liked it so I am pretty happy about it.
