Magi Tribe: Cross Ranger is the Fighting Spirit Saga's MMPR if you will. The beginning of it all. Their story has lasting effects on the rest of the Saga.

The world has been struck by a plague from outer space carried to Earth via meteor strike. The Black Water primarily infects liquids seeping into the water table and infecting all who come into contact with it. The Quarantine Wall was established to hold back the flood and protect all refugees seeking solace from the south. An ancient hereditary power awakens in 3 twenty-somethings and they become the Red, Blue and White Cross Rangers. They are later joined by two more rangers (Green and Yellow respectively). Add in an evil-infected Black Ranger and the true sixth ranger, Cross Trinity, and things start to get a little complicated.

They are decedents the 9 Magi Clans, a society of mages who drew their power from elemental runes. Each ranger comes from two clans, not one, hence Cross Ranger. Legend also has it their emperor was born of the royal Trinity Clan and could use the abilities of the three most powerful clans of the era. That is how Cross Trinity gets her powers.
