Description
I finally had time to paint this! My rendition of a Poe from Ocarina of Time. I went back and forth trying to decide whether to include the eyes or not and finally decided to keep it more...faceless. Hope it wasn't a mistake. Β Acrylic and India ink! 05/2014.Check out some of the inking process in my scraps .
**Finally updated the picture with a scan! Sharper, and better color.

Excellent work!
Looks like a nice blend of the poes from Ocarina of Time and the poes from theΒ Arbiter's Grounds inΒ Twilight Princess

Much more creepy than this... cute-original-thing. This is a nice example how much fanarts can be better.

Thanks. I love all LoZ originals, but it's fun to re-imagine sometimes!

Thank you! And you've also reminded me, I need to update the picture--I finally found a scanner for my larger pieces, and the color and quality is so much better!

I think it was a nice decision to keep the face blank, it makes it seem like the poe is hiding his face
Wonderful job c:Β
how do you get such good quality for a scan?

Thank you! And it's actually a photo 'cause it's too big to fit in my scanner. And it does NOT do the color justice! There are a lot more green and purple tones... Sigh.

You're welcome!
It's a photo?! That's a nice quality photo *o* you do an awesome job with taking those pictures!Β
Ooh I'd like to see that ;A; Β Scanners mess up the colors a lot, but you can normally fix the problem with a good photo editing program. There are some places (if very few) where they can scan large scale pieces.
Troubles with traditional art >.<

I know, I've tried to find scanners larger than 11x17, but no luck! Sigh. Maybe I'll take some more photos, as I have some in-progress shots as well that I'll probably add to my scraps at some point.

Maybe you could go to one of those huge printer places and see if they do scans. They've scanned in a lot of famous artwork to digitize them, so I'm sure you'll find one somewhere (probably just not one for personal use ;w; ). It just might cost something though.
and this is why live galleries are awesome.
: D I'll be looking forward to them!Β

Yes! I love digital, but there's nothing like live, is there? My quest for the giant scanner continues...

There'sΒ just something about seeing a painting in person that just makes it so much more awe inspiring. And you can actually see the strokes come off the canvas too x3
I WISH YOU LUCK!

That is so creepy--I love it! I particularly like the smoky texture at the ends of the fabric, makes it look a lot more ghostly. Furthermore, in my opinion, both the shading and lighting are faultless.
I think it looks better without the eyes. Somehow, it makes it even eerier. ^^Β Β

Thank you! I usually struggle with both lighting and fabric/draping, but I do rather like how this turned out.
