Description
To be honest, I really hate human rights activists. I can't get myself to care enough to really do something about those kinds of issues, and I'd much rather be able to watch TV without another "donate to needy children" ad. I realize they're important, yes, but they're annoying....On the other hand, for some reason that really baffles me, I'm practically a walking PokΓ©mon rights advocate. Every time somebody even implies that PokΓ©mon are forced to fight and all that, it takes all that I have not to rant to them right there about everything. I even had a little doodle version of this I put in my locker, actually. Along with Carbon Copy, I think that makes Ditto my mascot or something.
Anyway, I was trying to practice a digital painting/cell shading thing I made up by combining and 's tutorials, but it didn't turn out exactly as planned. Oh well, practice makes perfect.
EDIT: Oh, by the way, here's some food for thought: four out of five definitions of "person" I looked up stated that the subject be human. I just know somebody will find reason to challenge that in the future, even if it takes a million years.

It's funny, because in my novel, "Yoshi-Troid," Yoshi's are another species of people, but are still people.

"Another species of people"? What do you mean by that exactly?
I call PokΓ©mon "people" mostly because I consider them intelligent creatures equal to humans. Meowth is proof of this; unless the animΓ© decides to consider him a mutated species or something, I'd think all the others are as smart as him and thus, people.

I mean, my Yoshi characters have very similar characteristics than humans. It's almost that the same reason you gave. You can see the Abstract of "Yoshi-Troid" in my featured gallery (second page).

I believe I haven't mentioned this in the past myself, but I, too, feel more atone with Pokemon rather than with humans. I will get back into writting soon, and I have a rathe rlarge project in mind that involves that very subject.
I couldn't think of a more befitting mascot. Keep it up.

I see you changed your name. I'll be looking forward to seeing that project. We sure as heck need another fic about the stuff, that's for sure.
Yeah, I think Ditto is pretty perfect for this. With all the flak about breeding, he gets played with a very unfortunate stereotype. Though I have The Shade as an actual activist character...
