Aaa mkay !! And sorry to ask so many questions,, but,, did you start off with lineart and merge it or did you color over a sketch? Ive been trying to develop a painting style for literal years

i do a rough sketch, color under it, merge and shade ontop of all that, merge it, and then its just about refining
usually after i merge everything and start refining, i have to go in passes, so like, my first pass will make things look a little cleaner but its still very messy, the second pass will make things relatively clean and then my third pass is all about cleaning up and adding tiny details ; o that's the process that works for me.
