On the multi player server I play on, the town is built over a cave! D: Also, your lucky you find iron alot faster then me... It takes me a minecraft month or so... e^e'

i find my iron on the first 3 minutes. what's ironic is that i don't find coal to smelt with for another 5 minutes. i just punch down one block of wood, dig down to stone, make a pickaxe and start getting cobblestone for a stone pick and axe, and start chopping wood. usually i find iron when i get to the digging down part.

... =3= I'm a chicken on minecraft, I'd never go into caves normally... All the iron in my worlds are in caves... Thats why It would take forever for me to find iron.

12 minutes to make your first things (except mine your first thing, make your first mine) and about 5 seconds to lose it all from one creeper.

1.5 seconds is more accurate. especially from point blank or from where you can't see them... like behind you.

While on single player my worst fears was running into lava while making tunnels and ninja anamals. Now that I got my boyfriend into minecraft and he made a server, I know the true horrors of exploring a cave... q.q

lol I ran into three skeletons down this narrow tunnel, I thought for sure I was dead.

Nope, the darkness.
Exploring caves used to be fun on peaceful, but now it's rare for me to go in alone.. and when a monster appears outta nowhere I scream and freak out XD

Once I encountered 3 creepers and a zombie while going down in this large cavern, I was so scared I failed to climb up in time x.x

i have no problem with the dark. in fact i like it. what i dont like is large, no, huge cave pockets, one's with broken block bridges. i dont mind the skeletons (they fail at 2x1 spaces), and i really like those creepers(they blew up and revealed diamonds 7 TIMES for me), what i hate is those areas where you think it's safe to mine but end up mining toward lava. in a futile attempt to save my stuff i am forced to throw them at the nearest block, almost never succeeding. and the last time that happened, i found my first slime and it followed me to its crispy demise.

tip #1 dig straight below you
tip #2 hug creepers to show them your friendly
tip #3 play baseball with ghasts in the nether
tip #4 lead skeletons to your house which has a 2 block height space
tip #5 burn pigs to cook their pork on the spot. if you want to step it up a notch, use a lava bucket
tip #6 mine directly above you
tip #7 try the seed "404" and dig the nearest gravel pile. you will find diamonds instantly.
tip #8 chickens are evil mafia leaders who hire mobs to kill you. eliminate all of them.

Hang on you build your house before you make tools? I usually just throw together a relatively basic hut over my mineshaft...

I actually gather the supplies then go to my makeshift dirt house and make the tools at night.
