Steve's POV

As everyone rescued the last of the hostages I searched around to see if I could see a (Hair color) head pop out of the crowd. I started to panic as I couldn't see her anywhere and she only had 1 minute left.

I tried to stay calm muttering to myself ''She's going to make it...'' ''She won't give up that easily...'' The team could see the worried and panic in my eyes as they too started to search for (Your name) too.

Tony came walking up to me smiling sadly at me. ''(Your name)is going to make it Cap, she has 30 seconds left.''

''I know Tony...'' I say trying to hide my worried tone in my voice.

That was until our com-links came to life.

''Guys-*Static*---5th-*Static*---Floor-*Static*---Was a--*Punch*-Trap! I think I can--*Static*.''

''(YOUR NAME)!? (YOUR NAME)!? DAMIT!'' I growled tossing my com-link away and heading back to the HYDRA place.

''Langue Cap.''

''Tony...'' I growled again marching away to get (Your name) my self. ''Please be ok... (Your Name) I'm coming...'' I say.

''CAP! IT'S TOO DANGEROUS! YOUR NOT---'' Natasha called out but was cut off by a HUGE explosion sending all the hostages and the avengers (which includes me)flying back.

No one's POV

Thankfully when everyone was tossed back from the explosion no one was seriously hurt only coming with a few scratches and bruises...

Steve got off the ground and looked around seeing everyone groaning and helping each other get up. Steve started helping the hostages up from the ground making sure no one was seriously injured or anything.

Asking ''Are you ok?'' or ''Do you need to get patched up?'' other then that everything was 'Fine'. Excepted for one thing.

Realizing she never came out of the exploding HYDRA base Steve went into action along with the other Avengers searching everywhere for any sign of their fallen team mate...

Thor went South.

Clint and Natasha went North.

Tony went West.

Steve went East.

And Bruce stayed behind looking after the injured hostages.

It has been 5 minutes since the search for missing, Avenger/friend (Your Name) and everyone was starting to lose hope until Tony shouted out something to the Avengers.

Steve ran and ran pushing his legs to their limits hoping and praying that (Your Name) HAS been found alive. And safely with Tony.

But when the rest of the Avengers got there they saw something they wish that never shouldn't happen...

It was (Your Name)...

Dead.

Her body was all covered in deep, long, bloody scratches and cuts. Dirt and ashes covered her SHEILD uniform and her beautiful (Hair length) (Hair color) hair as her (Eye color) eyes were shut. With only a smile left on her face as the team knew she was happy that everyone of them and the hostages were safe.

''No...'' Was all Steve could manage to say as he dropped onto his knees and cried. Along with the other Avengers... Who cried for their fallen team member...

They saved so many lives that day...

But...

They couldn't save their team mate, friend, Avenger and Steve's secret 'crush' that he never got the change to tell her...

Now its too late...

''I never got the change to tell you (Your Name) that... I love you... Now I'll never get the change to tell you or...

See you again...'' Steve thought sadly regretting his mistake... If only he told you sooner...

Now he'll never...

Just like what happened to Peggy....
