I think in the end our Loki will be alright. I believe in my heart that the Loki we see in AOA is actually the reboot of Loki. It's the same old Loki, but with a new attitude. One that is not necessarily hero or villain, saint or monster. I think his path will lead him to an interesting future. After all, the "old" Loki is back from the future to ensure his younger self becomes him. But why would he feel it necessary to do that if it wasn't possible that young Loki could choose a different path? Β
Loki still has a choice, here. Just sit back and wait to see what happens. Remember, the slogan this comic's creators gave us was "We're going to lie to you at every turn. Trust us." So, I'm going to wait to see what happens. As for Thor, well, after the tenth issue, I made it my mission to pay him back. You'll see, when you find out how he loses his arm... (sharpens machete)

Hey, if you ever need an assistant in your plot against the Odinson, I'm at the ready.Β
I have this deep dark fear, though, that Loki (the young one) is going to do something stupidly heroic like being the villain so others don't have to, or something along those lines (kind of what the villains did in the AXIS issues)Β
And a secret hope that he punches his older self right between the eyes (while holding on to the hope of a hope, that his older self is just a magical conjuration of what he fears--kind of like what Leah and the horrible ex-es were back in the Young Avengers issue)
