Invented by a guy called "Mighty" Jo Homoki I think, he has a photobucket of similarly odd designs and might have done some work on FASA Star Trek RPG books (possibly only fan books). It's an utterly stupid, bizarre and outrageous design and I love it. You can, as the Capt. mentioned, get it as a kit, bits to convert the 1-1000 scale "Polar Lights" Enterprise model. The bits involved are solid resin though, and weigh a ton, so a bit pricey to ship across the pond.Β

Yes some one on Starship Modeler years ago built one like it in 1/1000 scale I think

What's that in old money! about 14 inches?
I bet it made an awesome display model.
This has inspired me to look for my old sketches, and redo then using the parts on da.

Probably why they named her that. As tribute to the Great Lakes freighter.Β

I never knew until relatively recently that the Edmund Fitzgerald sank while I was alive, late 60s or early 70s.Β (Sorry, it took me so long to reply.Β I've been rather busy.)
