Description
The Galactica Class Carrier is a cross-over design by me.Based off of the title ship from the 1978 series Battlestar Galactica.
Was asked if I'd ever go back to TOS for cross-over ships. Well the old BSG seemed to fit the bill.

And the new series Galactica might work for 24th century.

It might...Though the 1978 BSG and the 2005 BSG, aren't in the same universe.

I am aware of that, but still, if you look at the RDM Galactica it just looks like something that would fit in perfectly in the 24th century.
Plus, RDM!Adama is basically Sisko.

Who would Admiral Cain be in star trek?

The only issue I personally don't care for is the side nacelles. While I don't consider myself a purist, I personally go by the Roddenberry rules for ships for the most part. I don't really care for the nacelles that a in direct alignment with the hull. Just looks a little odd. But as a fan of both Star Tk and BSG, nice concept for a design.

Thanks...But...With the exception of the Bussard Collectors and the forward Deflection Mag-Coils, the side nacelles are in direct line of site, with each other.

I love the design of this ship....But I believe that the "Landing Bays" should be Round or at lease have a flat bottom. Just a thought / observation. Still love the ship and design and I hop to try and replicate it in Model form.

an unusual but rather impressive design
i like Star Trek ships with non standard nacelle configurations, and i love the design of the Galactica and use of flight pods
so i'm loving this idea

That's why I used it...As it's not canon, I used the same hull numbers on another Galactica crossover ship.

Awesome work as usual!
Now with such a crossover out of the way, we are left with the all consuming question with comic implications: Who could lay the most alien chicks, Kirk or Starbuck?

captshade In reply to Malcadon [2008-11-18 18:05:23 +0000 UTC]
Thanks. Hmmmm, tough question. While Kirk had a better success record in getting them, than Starbuck(and both had a similar problem keeping them). Starbuck was more activly permiscuous (sp?). So while Kirk had a better percentage in getting the girl. Starbuck was working on shear volume.
