Description
The Liberator Class Deep Space Cruiser is a design by me. And is a cross-over with "Blake's 7"The ironic thing about this cross-over, is Blake, and crew were fighting AGAINST the Federation.

Based off another sci-fi ship...Didn't come out as well, as the TOS version...

Thanks, I thought so, too.

The trouble with fans is they get too attached to things that they are no longer objective. It's probably a cultural thing, too. I, personally, wouldn't have ended it in that fashion but in isolation it is actually a very good episode.
It was not Star Trek and apart from one, perhaps crucial, bit of plotting they did a mighty fine job of it considering the circumstances imposed on them. I certainly donβt know what Malcodon means by suggesting a lack of effort. Would you have had the characters all chummy and breaking the fourth wall to acknowledge the fans instead?

Interesting design. Where is the bridge on this ship?

Internal...Probably in the back of the nose section. The normal external bridge set-up just didn't work with this design.

The tripod design is a bit confusing, but I guess you'd need to confuse your enemies in a battle to make them easier to defeat. Is Blake's 7 available on DVD? I've never seen it before.

It also had to do with there being no "up" in space. And then there's the symetry (sp?).

I remember watching Blake's 7 on PBS!
Then I remember how it ended. God dame, could they have put some effort into it? What jerk-off wrote that last episode? Otherwise, the rest are still good - for BBC sci-fi, that is.
By the way, nice work on the ship!

Thanks. Had to elongate the hull, it's supposed to be longer than the outriggers. And as they had weapons sticking out of them, I had to place the Phaser Cannons, where I did.
The show was kewl. A bit annoyed that Blake wasn't in more of them, when you consider the name of the show. But, it sure wasn't afraid to kill off main characters. Then again, some of the writers worked on classic Doctor Who, too.

I use to watch B7 and DrWho because it was between classic anime and Red Dwarf (PBS from the SF bay area use to have the best sci-fi nights you'll ever see!). But that was years ago, so my memories are shotty, but I remember the last episode sucked, and the guys hosting sci-fi night said it was controversial with the fanship.
From what I remember, Blake might have been a traitor, and then everyone took a number to take turns killing each other off - in the most systematic and retard way! (I felt like picking a number too, by the ending of the show) It looked like a really bad case of series sabotage!

Yes! In San Jose & San Fransisco, local PBS station KTEH [link] has been playing uncensored & unedited anime for years! Before moving away, I remember watching Robotech, Evangelion, Key the Metal Idle, Urusei Yatsura, Tenchi Universe, Please Save My Earth, and more! (most of it was subbed) Thay played Evangelion & Tenchi, well before Cartoon Network, and without the stupid editing! Then even gave out Ryo-Ohki plush dolls during pledge-drives! It was so f**king EPIC!!!
I also remember seeing anime back in the 80's, but I was too young to keep up with all the subtitles (I think they were Harlock, Yamato, Magazone 23, and others).

goddamnit, the ones we got here in connecticut just have random opera, antiques roadshow, british sitcoms etc. they'd get soo much more pledge money from untapped sources if they played some decent anime... not that the above is necessarily bad, just sorta dull. there is this neat show from canada called "the red green show" that i had been watching regularly, but when every broadcaster switched over to digital that station doesn't come in .
that's just not fair, though. i might have gotten into anime sooner, and had a better sense of it, than the patchwork, trial-and-error way i've been going about it...

Yep, what you listed is the standard package for all PBS stations. I remember the Red Green Show - funny stuff!
When KTEH first started playing "Japanimation" on their Sci-fi Fridays (back in the mid-late 90s), there was some protest with the staff over playing "cartoons" alongside British sci-fi (such stations tend to be run by really conservative folk). The anime community in the bay area has always been vary large and vocal - the fans liked it, and wanted more! This was back when anime was still a fringe-interest, so they could get quality shows cheaply. Now that anime has become so popular, cash-strapped stations can no longer afford to play them - more so, after the economy tanked!

I know what you mean. Seattle was so lucky with channels, back in the "old days". Back when there was no wireless anything. and only the military, and TV stations had satellite dishes. We had the 3 networks, 2 PBS (+2 from BC, on really clear days. Or +1 from Oregon, on really REALLY bad ones), and 2 independant stations. So we had B7, DW (sometimes more than once on the same day), Blackadder, Red Dwarf, etc. And one of the independant stations, sometimes played bootleg (I didn't relize till later, as at least one has yet to be reliesed in the US.) BBC movies. But at least I got to see Alice, Through the Looking Glass. Making me one of the few Americans to be a Sarah Sutton fan BEFORE there ever was a Nyssa of Traken.
And I hated that last episode too. Though it may annoy you to find out that Sky One is planning on doinging a remake (AKA: re-imagining).
