Description This is 'Madi' and she is 7 months old in this drawing. She's a rescue from Many Tears and was born there – her mum was a Collie, though her dad was unknown (her short legs, big ears, behaviour and markings suggest a Corgi). She is described by her owner as “the best girlie dog in the world” and shares her home with another dog, three cats and two kids. Madi was drawn 16”x12” from a photo taken at a Dogs Today photo shoot.

I have been fallowing you for a while and I really love your work. So I'll will suggest a few things.... not that I'm able to do it better but I always think that we can improve in so many ways if we try...

So here is what I think you might look into in the future. May be try to make the white fur stick out more... make it more voluminous, fluffy e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/> I also think you might want to make his fur more defined on the base of the dog back...

For the rest... I have nothing to teach you .... lol!!!! Actually, I really love his nose and his ''Please can I get a cookie'' look e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/> You are such a great artist...

that explains it... but yes, keeping the focus on the head is a great way to make sure that we don't get lost with all the great details that you put in

Thank you for your critique. I agree with your comments about white hairs, I still haven't nailed a trusted technique yet, the hardest part to understand is that there is often dark areas within the white that I seem hesitant to add, even though I know they should be there.

The hair on the back is a style I have always had. I like to keep the focus on the head, so any body detail fades away to the edge of the drawing. Though on second glance, the left had side seems to have lost definition and the subtle shade difference looks rather abrupt.
