Work commitments the next day meant that I had to stay home to observe this eclipse instead of traveling to one of my favorite dark sky sites as I had originally planned. So I set up the telescope in the backyard and just enjoyed the sight of the Earth's shadow slowly creeping across the face of the Moon. I took a heap of images over the course of the event but I am not sure when I will have time to properly go through the all. Ridiculously busy at the moment.
The two bright spots next to the Moon are stars which have been captured due to the longer exposure.
Canon 5D MkII
10" F/4 Newtonian Telescope (1000mm focal length)
NEQ6 Pro computerised telescope mount set on lunar tracking
Baader Coma Corrector
Single 5 second exposure at ISO 100.

A wonderful capture, Greg ~ you were so lucky to have clear skies ~ here in Melbourne I sat on my balcony for an hour waiting for this big clear patch to come across, and by the time it did, it had completely closed up and the cloud covering was total!

This is by far one of THE BEST photographs of a Lunar Eclipse I have ever seen!! Astounding shot! The amount of detail you see in the moon is so crisp. Wow! Very nicely done.
