I missed a similar halo around the sun a couple of weeks ago when I was stuck in town without my camera. The halo is caused by the light from the moon being refracted by ice crystals in the upper atmosphere.
Sometimes it pays to look outside before you go to bed.........

i just saw one of these the other night but i didn't have my camera at the time what kind of lens are u using is it canon's 10-22mm or is it from another manufacture

yeh, nice sincro, I saw yesterday sundogs, but I couldn't shot them togheter because I was stuck like you but I have the camera .... the composition is also bad, so I wouldn't up them
